Personal Data and Location:
When you create a profile on BeatDrops (sign up) on any device we require some personal information to make sure you are a genuine person and to prevent abuse of the service. The following information will be collected from your device and stored in a database on our server (also see below for more device specific information):
- Username – Used for account creation and app features such as sharing beats.
- Email Address – Used for sending verification email (see below)
- Device Type – For example Android, iPhone or Windows
- IP Address – We collect the IP address of the request used to determine approximate location (country)
- Password – Stored in encrypted format
All the information you provide is stored securely on our server to the best of our means and encrypted during transit. Your actual password is never stored on our server only you will have the actual password. If you forget your password you will have to ask for a password reset.
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about your account via email and you can ask for your account to be deleted fully at any time (see below). Your username will be available to see by all other users when you submit or share content, please make sure your username is not offensive in anyway. The location stored and shown in the app is only your country. We do not ask for, store or publicly display post code or street name. If you submit any further personal information in the song info or song url section it is at your sole discretion and this also will be visible by all app users.
When you create your account and every time you log in we will store your IP address on our server this will only be used by us to determine any account abuse and to prevent misuse of your account.
Emails and Newsletter:
The following is applicable only after you sign up to BeatDrops Beat Maker with a valid email address or if you sign up to our newsletter by supplying your email:
When you supply your email address you agree to allow us to send you emails which are needed to facilitate use of our service for example to send you verification email or notifications. You will be given the option in app or in email to opt in to receive marketing emails from us. When we do add your email address to our mailing list(s), emails you will receive will only come from us. You may receive additional emails from the developer of the specific app/software related to the app or technical support/updates.
We will never sell, disclose or pass on your email address to any other third party.
Opt Out:
We provide a method of opting out from our mailings in every email, this may be in the form of an unsubscribe link, or asking you to reply with “unsubscribe” or “stop”. When you do opt out we will remove your email and add it to our opted out list. This will take effect usually within 24 hours however we ask that you allow atleast 7 days for it to be fully removed due to emails in the process of being sent, emails that may not have reached you yet, or automated system emails being sent to you from our server.
In App Purchases:
On Android all in app purchases from BeatDrops Store are processed by Google Wallet.
On iOS all payments are processed by Apple IAP.
On Windows UWP and Desktop purchases are processed via Windows and Paypal online payments respectively.
All payments on third party providers are secure and encrypted. We do not process or store any payment related information like credit card details please refer to the Privacy Policy of the payment provider for example Paypal’s privacy policy on their respective official websites. We only store what you have purchased for example the number of pages or tracks you have unlocked. The value and total sum of purchases you have made are not stored, so to find this information you can check with the relevant payment service provider. Please make sure you are the bill payer before any purchases.
Subject Access Requests:
We are committed to complying with the applicable data privacy and security requirements in the countries in which we operate. GDPR allows you to make a request to DBS for copies of all personal information held about you. This is known as a Subject Access Request. We aim to provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you within one calendar month of receiving a valid request. To begin this request, please use our contact details below.
Right to be forgotten:
If you no longer want us to make use of your information, you may send an e-mail to [email protected] . Place ‘Delete My Account‘ in the subject line and include your name, sign up e-mail address and your username (if applicable) in the body of the e-mail. You can also delete your account from the app (More Menu), this deletes all your personal data and profile related files. Please note any beats projects you uploaded will remain on the server with either your username or reauthored as ‘Anonymous’.
We will respond to your request within thirty days. Please note that certain records, for example those relating to payments or customer service matters, will be held for legal and accounting purposes. If you have sent content through or posted content on the Service, we may not be able to delete it. You are advised to contact us if this is the case.
Sharing Beats
When you share a project you have made with BeatDrops the name of the project, your username, country (if available), your song info, song url and any imported samples will be publicly visible to other users.
We also store your project, its data and imported samples on our server. You can make a request by email to remove any submitted beats by emailing [email protected] with the words “BeatDrops Remove Beat” in the subject line. When submitting any projects via our app you accept that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.
Profiles and Projects:
We offer users the optional feature to backup and store their profile and projects on our server. This will store your account information, your saved data on the device such as app settings and purchase details of upgrades and samples. This is useful to restore your account on new app installations or on other devices, as BeatDrops is a cross platform app purchases from one OS will be valid on other OS (for example if you purchase a sample pack on your Android, you can download and use it on BeatDrops on your iPhone too).
But please note we will not be responsible for any loss of such data due to any unforeseen reason, malfunction or sabotage of our server.
Ads:
BeatDrops Beat Maker displays our own in house and third party ads. You can disable ads by purchasing the disable ads in app purchase, please note this will only remove any ads that are normally shown after you login.. When you click on an ad we collect anonymous data such as your location, IP address and device type (such as Android or iPhone). The location is not personal and will be in the form of “City, Country”. This information will be used but not stored on our server, nor will it be shared to third parties.
Some third party ad network providers may upload data from your phone to deliver more personalized ads and improve user experience such as device identifiers, location data or other demographic or interest data. This information will be transferred in secure encrypted form to them but not stored.
Device Information:
When using BeatDrops the app will have to identify what device type you are using, the OS version/name, whether it has a functional mic (for recording) and what permissions you have allowed it to have. We have to do this to enable or disable certain device specific features. We may also make a record of this information on our server if it is required for statistical purposes (for example we want to see how many users are on Windows Phone) or for the functionality of the app.
Android Specific Platform:
On Android platform the following data will be collected from your device:
1 – Device ID. Make and model of your phone.
Device ID is a unique identifier based on your device and app.
This will be stored on our server which will be used to prevent the abuse of free ‘conversion credits’ allocation, which is allocated once per device install. This data will also be shared with Google Firebase to allow us to send you marketing and developer Push Notifications. Please note you can opt out of receiving push notifications using the system settings on your device.
2 – Firebase installation ID
This is generated once when you install the app, it is non personal and is not associated with any specific user or device. We do not store this data, it is shared with Google Firebase to allow us to send you marketing and developer Push Notifications.
3 – IP Address
This is collected once when you install the app. We do not store this data, it is shared with Google Firebase to allow us to help with debugging issues related to Push Notifications.
4 – Advertising ID
Used for third party advertising, analytics and unique device identifyer for app related features. This data will be shared with Google AdMob but we do not store this ID on our server.
5 – Advertising Data
We can share with AdMob which advertisements you have seen for analytics and service improvement.
6 – Ad Interactions
Such as taps and videos views to improve the service offered by AdMob
The free version will show our own in house ads and also ads from third party providers. You can disable ads shown after you login by purchasing the appropriate in app purchase.

Delete Data Request:
You can manually delete your account using the ‘Delete Account’ feature in the app from the top menu. This will delete your account and details from our server. This action can not be reversed and we will retain any backup of the deleted data. You can also email us if you want to delete your account or if you wish to also delete all your uploaded project files.
You have the right to request that we delete your FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) ID, which is used for sending push notifications to your device. If you would like to request the deletion of your FCM ID, please contact us through through our website. We will honor your request and request to delete your FCM ID from Google’s servers. Please note that deleting your FCM ID will prevent us from sending push notifications to your device. If you want to continue receiving push notifications, you will need to provide a new FCM ID for your device, this can be achieved by uninstalling fully and then re-installing the app.
Compliance with Laws:
In order to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our terms of use, to protect the rights of other users of our services/site, to help with criminal investigations we may disclose information that we hold we hold about you to law enforcement agencies and government authorities.
Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do the necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.
